Welcome to Salix Solution LLC's virtual home.

A big part of our winters here in the Pacific Northwest are spent harvesting and planting tens of thousands of willow live stakes, restoring wetlands and riparian zones, stabilizing river banks, and repairing salmon habitats.  See below for more about what we have to offer you and your next restoration project.

Live Stakes -
See beside for a list of available live stake species. We are happy to procure wild harvested, genetically diverse, pacific northwest native live stakes or your wetland and riparian zone restoration efforts. We specialize in providing willow live stakes for ecological restoration projects. Our live stakes can be found in a variety of stream bank stabilization, erosion control, wetland, riparian zone, and salmon habitat projects all along the I-5 corridor throughout the pacific northwest. We obtain material from multiple sites from the Columbia River to Puget Sound to ensure genetic diversity in the live stakes. We obtain our material through coppice and pollard, a regenerative agriforestry practice in which trees are cut on a multi-year rotation in such a way as to stimulate new sprout growth, providing cuttings for propagation, building material, fodder or fuel in perpetuity.

Planting/Installation -
It is a great joy to help plan, design, and install native plant materials into habitats which have historically been mismanaged or degraded improving the ecological health, integrity, and functionality of those lands. We are licensed, insured, and have a crew ready to come install plantings for you.
